Thanks to Kelvin from Nexus who got me a comfortable spot tagging along a small little adventurous group trip, touring a small part of an Island called Tekong. Yes, and almost about 75% of the men in Singapore have nightmares about this small little island. Many stories have been told over and over again about the paranormal horrors and strenuous physical training that takes place on this island, daily.

Divided by the seas, one will need to be ferried to Tekong. The ferry ride from Singapore to Tekong is about 30-45minutes short.

Every Soldier A Leader
Can you lead a group of helpless during difficult times?

The wait can be rather gloomy actually.

These wires looks intimidating.

It was soon time to get into the ferry for a ride to TEKONG!!!

If you've taken the ferry to Batam, you'd know the condition of the craft is tragic basically = BLAGH! So I'm surprised the Penguin to Tekong is awfully clean and well kept it felt new! There's even a cute white Sony TV for viewing pleasure. The ride was very comfortable. A little consolation?

Frankly speaking, I didn't feel like I've left Singapore because Tekong looks just like the camps in Singapore lol!!! I didn't get to see the scary Bunks or rather, the 3rd door bunk. Does it even exist?

I understand that most relationships come to a halt or even a dead end when the guys enlist. I didn't get to date a guy in Army during my teenage years, or did I?

After going through the list above, I'm sure I did not get a chance to date an guy serving NS LOL! In fact, I probably avoided them at all costs!
Knowing myself :-
1) I don't have the patience to wait for a guy.
2) I buay tahan lonliness
3) I don't and will not understand because I don't get to experience the harsh life in Army
4) I'd be so young and 'shar'.... (assuming that guy is also a teenager)
5) I need A LOT OF attention and protection all the time wahahaha
6) I'm too young to talk about commitment or even know what it means... sigh
Then again, I like men after they have finished NS because they're not that 'nua' anymore. Think Commandos woohoo~~ They train up so fit they can even survive in a jungle for a few months!!! *squeals* It would be extremely exciting hiking with these macho men in the jungle, knowing you're in safe hands, you'd never die LOL!

These creams have the ingredients similar to that of your normal foundation.

Kelvin and me with our faces painted, obviously fail lah!

This is the correct way of painting your face with 3 stripes across your face to cover your prominent parts = nose and cheeks
DAMN HE DOESN'T LOOK like he's having trouble carrying so many things!

Yummy Rations!!!
Good life leh so many flavours from western to chinese and there are even desserts!

For Vegetarians too!!!

Use this to heat up those Ration Packs.

I love the Glutinous rice!!! It tastes soooo good, hotel dim sum standard =P

There are yummy energy bars too....

This is where the guys sleep. It doesn't look that bad!
I was expecting to see a dark gloomy haunted room.

I was told everything here although bare minimum, is sponsored.

The Chill area.
Now harsh side of reality...
The Standard Obstacle Course (SOC)

I'm told you need to run the whole course with
a HEAVY BACKPACK + SAR21

It is so heavy, I almost fell backwards after 30seconds!

Guys, I'm really proud of you.
Completing the SOC, running with the backpack and the rifle!
molemole *bows*
Amazing feat! I now know how those 4 nuggets appear on your tummies!

I really like shooting =)))
How does one run with that backpack and then lie down to shoot properly?!
NS is dreadful to most, some say it is a waste of time. But on the bright side, you learn life skills, survival skills and you become combat ready. I really appreciate the way Singapore is what it is today. Is Singapore really ready should a disaster strike? I want to believe that we are ready because the old, the women and the children and I will rely on our men to protect us from unpredictable harm. I've never taken our Military Defence or even my safety for granted. Have you?
If you don't train at all, do not have the correct mindset or worse, not combat ready, who will protect us, who will protect Singapore? Foreign talents again? Haven't we had enough complaints about them in the Straits Times Forum Section already? Do you really think someone will throw an atomic bomb on Singapore? It is about command and conquer leh.
Many Singapore men will ask, but Why Me?
I say...
